Help Victims of Violence: AHIO volunteers help us achieve our mission which is to provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities.

 

Convenient Locations: AHIO provides an array of services in all five boroughs, which means that volunteer activities are most likely available in locations close to where you live, work or go to school.

 

Build Your Skills: Volunteering at AHIO is an incredible opportunity to build or develop your skill set. Our volunteers and staff come from diverse backgrounds and are eager to share their specialized knowledge and experience.

Network with Non-Profit Professionals: Volunteering at AHIO provides access to a staff of over 700, as well as many other committed volunteers, offering ample opportunities to establish professional connections. Safe Horizon also has close partnerships with other agencies. Many of our programs are co-located with our criminal justice, medical and other social service partners.
